How to Get Rid of Tonsillitis and Sore Throat

The chances of getting a sore throat are always there, unless you are a super human. The sore throat is mostly followed by pain in the throat, and can sometimes lead to a flu or a cold, but most of the time it is just annoying.

It is easy to look for help and get yourself antibiotics or sugary lozenges, but why go for them, when Mother Nature has given us numerous natural remedies that can be twice as effective as these medications.

What is a Sore Throat?

The sore throat is medically known as pharyngitis, and it is only an irritation of the throat, which is followed with not chronic, but annoying pain. It can only cause difficulty in swallowing and scratchiness in the area. It is mostly the first sign before we have a cold, but the sore throat can last for maximum of 2 to 3 days!

Mostly a sore throat can be caused from a bacterial infection or some virus. Viruses, such as adenovirus (cold), measles, croup or also known as a whooping cough, and chickenpox. The most common infections that can trigger it, is the strep throat, while the rarest cause can be Chlamydia, gonorrhea and Corynebacterium. While sometimes, tobacco can be the main reason for it, whether the patient is smoking, or someone next to him was smoking, sometimes pollution can be the cause or to be more specific the irritants that are all around in the air, also dry air or allergies may trigger it as well. It seems pretty easy to catch a sore throat, but don’t worry we have equally easy ways to get rid of it, or prevent from it.

The best way to prevent from it, is to stay hydrated at all times, which means to intake plenty of fluids, or if you can’t do it that way just eat some soup. That way the sore throat will start to become submissive and it will start to disappear, unless the sore throat is a start of something more serious.
